Hispanic Heritage Month Event
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we proudly hosted a special exhibit that honored the incredible contributions of Hispanics and Latinos in Vallejo. This exhibit illuminated the remarkable stories, achievements, and deep-rooted impact of our community, from local leaders to cultural influencers, each representing the rich heritage and vibrant spirit that defines Vallejo. The opening reception at the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum was a beautiful gathering where attendees explored and celebrated our shared history, strengthening community ties and embracing the diversity that makes our city unique. Marisela Barbosa-Cortez guest curator since 2021. The exhibit was created as a result of her book Hispanics and Latinos in Vallejo.
